I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
